Full details: Malaysian MotoGP Grand Prix 2027 event guide
Round 19 of the 2027 MotoGP World Championship lands at Petronas Sepang International Circuit from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 October 2027, dates the provisional calendar may still shift. This is the first season under the new 850cc regulations and Pirelli control tyres, part of an October triple-header alongside Japan and Indonesia. Malaysia remains locked in on the schedule through 2031. Fans will see the premier class debut the smaller engines on a track famous for its long straights and tropical humidity.
What to expect
Three days of track action across all MotoGP classes. The revised technical rules mean new engine notes and different tyre strategies compared to previous Sepang rounds. Grandstand views cover the main straight and the tight final sector where overtakes often happen. Support races and rider fan zones typically fill the gaps between sessions, though the final timetable sits with the organiser.
Tickets and how to attend
Tickets are not on sale yet. Check the official MotoGP website for release dates and pricing when they are announced. Entry details and any registration requirements will be published there closer to the weekend.
Getting there
From central Kuala Lumpur the circuit sits roughly one hour away by car or Grab, but race-day traffic stretches that significantly. Leaving early is the only reliable plan. The train option runs via KLIA Ekspres from KL Sentral to KLIA in 28 minutes, followed by a taxi or the official race-day shuttle to the circuit. Shuttle schedules appear on the circuit website ahead of the event. Group transfers can be arranged through the Cormar Suites front desk on request.
