RONA Foundation Donates $580,000 to Local Charities

BOUCHERVILLE, November 2, 2026 — The RONA Foundation has released $580,000 in new funding to nearly 150 local organizations across Canada, the culmination of its fourth annual Home Sweet Home campaign. The initiative, which ran from August 31 to October 12, 2026, mobilized employees and customers from 203 participating RONA+ and RONA stores to support vulnerable individuals in their immediate communities.

Local Teams Direct the Funds

The campaign’s structure is defined by its grassroots approach. Rather than a central office allocating resources, the teams at each of the 203 participating stores selected the specific organizations to receive the funds raised in their region. According to the RONA Foundation, these local groups are deeply involved in their neighborhoods, providing direct support to victims of domestic violence and their children, low-income families, and individuals facing disabilities or mental health challenges.

This decentralized model ensures that the money raised in a specific area is reinvested directly into that same community. The full amount of the $580,000 raised will be donated to the chosen local partners, bypassing administrative overhead to reach those in need.

A Growing Impact Since 2023

This year’s contribution marks the fourth edition of the Home Sweet Home campaign. Since its launch in 2023, the initiative has presented almost $2.5 million to hundreds of Canadian organizations. The RONA Foundation, established in 1998 to oversee the philanthropic activities of RONA inc., states its mission is to improve the quality of life for Canadians in need by revitalizing living environments and facilitating access to housing.

Catherine Laporte, Chair of the RONA Foundation Board of Directors and Chief Digital and Marketing Officer at RONA inc., highlighted the collective effort behind the results. “Every year, the Home Sweet Home campaign reminds us of the strength of our network, as our teams and customers come together to support people in need in their communities,” Laporte said. “Thanks to their generosity, some 150 local organizations will be able to continue their critical work with vulnerable individuals and families. We give our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this fourth edition.”

Community and Corporate Context

RONA inc., headquartered in Boucherville, Quebec, is one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers. The network operates and services over 425 corporate and affiliated dealer stores under the RONA+ and RONA banners, employing a team of 21,000 people. The company has supported Canadians in home improvement and construction projects since 1939 and is recognized as one of Canada’s Greenest Employers due to its sustainable development efforts.

For residents and readers interested in the specifics of where the funds went, the RONA Foundation has published a photo gallery detailing the contributions made to organizations in each region. The campaign’s focus on practical aid, such as housing stability and safety for domestic violence survivors, aligns with the Foundation’s broader goal of making it easier for vulnerable populations to access secure and improved living spaces.
