Full details: David Glass's TEMPEST event guide
KL Shakespeare Players restage their physical-theatre take on The Tempest at klpac in Sentul, a production devised with UK director David Glass and first premiered at the same venue in 2019. It runs Friday 27 to Sunday 29 November 2026, with shows at 8pm on Friday and Saturday and 3pm on Sunday.
What to expect
Seven actors work on a simple set, telling Shakespeare’s story largely through movement. The piece runs about 90 minutes without an interval and is recommended for ages 12 and up. It closes out KL Shakespeare Players’ 15th anniversary year, and plays in Pentas 2 with free seating.
Tickets and how to attend
Tickets are sold through CloudJoi, the official ticketing partner, priced from RM76.76 to RM85.68 before fees. Buy only from the official seller; resale and unofficial tickets may be refused at the door.
Getting there
klpac, the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre, is inside Sentul Park on Jalan Strachan, a quiet green enclave north of the city centre. From central Kuala Lumpur the ride by Grab takes about 15 to 20 minutes, longer at rush hour. Ask for drop-off at klpac, Sentul Park.
Where to stay
Cormar Suites Kuala Lumpur makes a central base for David Glass's TEMPEST. The newly renovated 4-star hotel is about 15 minutes’ walk from the Petronas Twin Towers, with Bukit Bintang’s food streets close by. Its studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites are larger than a standard hotel room, with comfortable beds, a full kitchenette and a bathtub, and there is a rooftop pool and Parry Road Cafe downstairs for breakfast before the event.
How to get there from the city centre, what is nearby and the full event details are on the David Glass's TEMPEST guide. Event dates fill hotels fast: book direct with Cormar Suites for the best available rate, and confirm times and entry rules with the organiser before you go.
