Istana Budaya presents Pengembaraan Sang Kancil, a modern children’s musical retelling the Sang Kancil folk tales, from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 November 2026, with the opening at 8:30pm.
What to expect
Organised by Istana Budaya, it’s a family and children’s musical performed in Bahasa Malaysia, staged in Panggung Sari. It’s built around the well-known mousedeer stories, so it suits young audiences.
Tickets and how to attend
Tickets are sold through CloudJoi at RM30 to RM140, with Istana Budaya as the organiser. Buy only from the official seller, since resale and unofficial tickets may be refused at the gate.
Getting there
Istana Budaya is about 10 minutes from central Kuala Lumpur by Grab. Theatre dress codes apply, so check the organiser’s rules before you go.
